Inaugural
Function
Pune Distirict
Education Association’s Prof. Ramkrishna More Arts, Commers and science
College, Akurdi organized a special camp at
Karmoli, tal. Mulshi, dist. Pune during 21st to 27th
Nov.2013. The inaugural function was organized at Karmoli on 21st to
Nov. at 4 pm. The president’s representative of PDEA hon. Rajendra Ghadage,
treasurer hon. Mohanrao Deshmukh were present for the programme. The president
of Mulshi tehsil women’s national Congress hon. Chandatai Kedari, Gramsevak Mr.
More, principal of Anantrao Pawar college Dr. Zaware, principal of Paud Junior
college Mr.Taru sir, Mr Gaikwad were also present for the programme.
The programme was
inaugurated by worshipping the objects used in shramdan. Principal of the college Dr.Nithin Ghropade felicitated
the guests with a bouquet and a gift.
In his introductory
speech, principal Dr.Nitin Ghorpade gave the information about various
activities to be conducted in the camp. He added that the samples of soil,
water, plants, and animals in the village will be surveyed and will be added on
map. A lecture series will be organized for the students in the school.
The head of the village
Shri.Lahusheth Jaygude congratulated the students and assured that all the required
help will be provide for the camp.
The principal of
Anantrao Pawar college Dr Zaware gave the information about various activities
in the camp. He added that it is also a good opportunity for the village.
The president’s
representative hon. Rajendra ghadage said that students are always fascinated
with such camps. Students should make use of such camps.
The programme was
anchored by Dr. Savita Kulkarni and the vote of thanks was extended by prof.
Ankush Jadhav. About 150 students participated in the camp and various activities
will be held in the camp.
After inaugural
function, students were divided into groups and the groups were named after the
forts in Maharashtra.

On the second day, the
volunteers performed shramdan .The grass in the campus of the school in karmoli
was cleaned and the ground was prepared for playing .The grass near the temple
and the primary school was cleaned.
In the afternoon
session prof. Bapu Ghaware delivered a lecture on ‘challenges for youth’. He
emphasized the impact of technology on students. He added that the ears and
hands of the students are overburdened by mobiles and the eyes with television.
There are several attractions but the students should be aware of what is good
and what is bad.
A group discussion was organized
after the lecture. Various topicss were given to students such as
anti-addiction, right to information, superstitions, and environment awareness.
Students opined their views in the discussion.
In the evening, a
competition was organized in which students were given various subjects such as
a writer, a poet, a saint, a scientist, a players etc. Each member of the group
had to give the information about the subject. Rajgad group got first rank in
the competition. They gave the information about scientists.

On the third day of the
camp, students were distributed in three groups after exercise and yoga. One
group cleaned the campus of the new school in Karmoli, another group cleaned
the campus near the temple and the third group went to the junior college in Paud
for cleaning the campus.
Mrs. Nimbalkar counseled
the students about their career at Paud college. The introductory speech was delivered
by prof. Jitendra Ghodake. Mrs. Nimbalkar communicated with the parents and
explained many opportunities about career. She added that the skills of students,
the atmosphere, nature and physical state are important while choosing career.
In the afternoon
session, Mr.Milind Deshmukh and Mr.Vivek Sambre guided the students about anti-supersitions.
Mr. Deshmukh gave information about the working of the committee. He added that
fake saints encourage the superstitions for money and fame. But we must not
trust such saints. Mr.Vivek Sambre showed many experiments such as showing the
chain from hand, lifting the vessel of rice with a screw, lighting the lamp
with water etc.
A competition was organized
on Marathi songs to improve the skills of students in Marathi. Memory games
were also organized.
In the evening, situational
drama competition was organized such as wedding ceremony, first day of NSS
camp, argument for water, mental hospital, S.T.stand, an event in the fair etc.
Shivneri group got first rank and Rajgad group got second rank in the
competition.

On the fourth day, the
grass in the campus of the school was cleaned and the Ballaleshwar temple was
also cleaned.
A RALLY FOR
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
The volunteers oraganized
a rally from Paud to Karmoli and gave slogans on cutting of woods, literacy,
female foeticide etc.
In the afternoon
session Mrs. Nootan Apate gave a lecture on ‘Time management ‘we all have 24
hours in a day. If we manage this time, we can do much more work. She also said
that we must use available time fully and we must not waste our time in mobile
and TV.
After dinner, a
competition was arranged for students in which they had to represent various
states in India. Students gave information about cuisine, costumes, characteristics,
tourist attraction from different states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Kerala , Punjab
, Madhya Pradesh , West Bengal. In this competition, Raigad group got first
rank that represented Rajasthan state

On this day, pits were
dug by students in the school campus area and trees were planted in those pits.
Uma Kale, a student from the college gave basic karate training to junior
college girls. The girls were taught to protect themselves if someone attacks
them.
In afternoon session Dr.
Praful Chadhari conducted a session on hypnotism. Educational problems can be
solved by hypnotism, it is also useful to improve the concentration power of
students. He gave a demonstration of hypnotism to students.
In a lecture organized
for college students, Mrs. Kalyani Badwe talked on natural remedies. Students must
pay attention to healthy diet and habits. One must include nutritious diet and
exercise in our daily routine. One must drink milk every day. Alma can be used
for vitamin C. She gave some beauty tips to girls. She also stated that by
using simple and handy remedies, we can keep doctors away.
A statue competition
was organized in the evening. Students made statues of saibaba , a farmer , a
farmer’s suicide, lord Vitthal and Sant Tukaram. The statue of lord Vitthal won
the competition.

On 6th day
of the camp, the students visited Mahindra college , which is one of the 12
colleges in the world. Students from 60 different countries are studying here.
1 teacher is available for every 9 students. A presentation was given by the
college which gave information about the college.
A personality
development session was organized in the afternoon sessions. Dr. Chandurkar
from Dnyan Prabodhini group was present for the session. She gave information
about personal health, hormonal changes etc. she also guided girls about
personal hygiene.
In the evening session,
cultural programs were organized in which students performed various dances,
lavni, Hindi-Marathi songs etc.
